&quot;Don&#039;t punish yourself,&quot; she heard her say again, but there would be punishment and pain, and there would be happiness too. That was writing.&quot;<br /> --Markus Zusak, &quot;The Book Thief&quot;

This torrid place,
Incessant burn—
Long for cessation.

Climbing a tor
To reach fortitude,
I am azygous—alone.

Who be sufficient
To cool my pain
Without demur?

Pedant, I am
End up suff’ring teen
And disparage myself.

Cessation not given,
Not taken;
Yet perseverance granted.

The author's comments:
The 'suff'ring teen' part, in a dictionary, would be definition 1, I believe. The definition that doesn't include age. #20 hundred themes.

This is really good! I like your writing style. You have a really nice vocabulary too, I might add. I keep rereading the line "Who be sufficient." I can't decide how I feel about it. Other than that, this is amazing. Nice job :)

I love the use of words in this, it gives it such a suffering feel.
