"If you don't leap you'lll never know what it's like to fly"

As her gray colorless eyes squint toward the sky, she prays to the heavens
She imagines what the reds, oranges and purples of the sky must look like as the sun sets
Then they come, following her like the paparazzi, never leaving her alone
They point and snare while they pound her with questions, giving her a daily dose of there death stairs
They wait for answers, which she doesn't have
She tries to connect the colors with the objects, but her eyes become weak
Once again she is defeated as they laugh and taunt her
I see yellow, I see red, I see green, I see purple
Oh how beautiful it is! Can't you see it? What do you see? Look closely! Do you see it?
I see... I see... and with that she answered as she always does, I see no color
She walks away, feeling alone in the world because no one will ever understand

"Shyness is a curious thing, because, like quicksand, it can strike people at any time, and also, like quicksand, it usually makes its victims look down."

This poem is very well written! You have two poems about color blind-ness and one about the color red. is color something important to you? Do you have a friend, relative, or are you color blind?
