Heart, let's turn away from pain
let us salvage what's left after
His twisted love has reigned
I will burn the tarnished pieces that
have refused to stay
I say, I say
He has gone and flown away
from each of us he swayed
into the darkness not of day
My friend, you know too well
of the hurt he caused to us
Of the tears and woe that swelled
Oh I can't help but make a fuss
And when he left
I say, I say
My love has gone to live away
And when he fled my heart that way
Instead of me he chose the fray
