To Everyone
When words get jumbled up
In a stressed out mind
It often puts affection
Into quite a bind
I don’t want to get mushy
For that is rather weird
But never saying “I love you”
is something always feared
You mean an awful lot
Never let that be a doubt
Even that woman at the store
Who sells me saurkraut
To my friends, you keep me silly
Stop my tendancy to whine
Your jokes, your stories, your whole damn selves
Are ever oh so fine
My kitties teach me joy
In the simplicities of life
Not to let a lazy day
Ever cause me strife
Family’s the hardest
To put into a simple line
You’ve given me foundation,
For all I can call mine
To each and every human,
Tall or short, old or new
Let you leave with one small message
that indeed, I love you
