Down here in the country
You may consider us hillbillies.
But I'll tell you what,
there is more to us than
just talkin' slang and drikin' sweet tea.
Down here in the country,
we crack smiles at each other,
we show our southern hospitality.
Down here in the country,
them country boys sure do love to hunt game and go fishin'.
And them country gals go out to the barn and pick their favorite horse to go ridin' on.
Down here in the country,
you may consider us hillbillies.
But, I'll tell you what,
Their ain't nobody more friendlier than a good ole country southerner.
Y'all come back now, ya here!!!
