Opening my eyes

I was happy
the world was butterflies and gumdrops
you were great
so sweet
so loving
I felt safe with you
peaceful even
then it happened
I don't even know what it was
maybe I just opened my eyes
regardless, it made me so angry
almost all the time
falling in a spiraling pit
trapped in my head
lost in memories
and you?
you've become my worst nightmare
cruel
spacey
dishonest
not worth the pain
you can't go two minutes alone
but you shove too many people away
i don't know what to do
what could be left for us?
