We used to be happy
And together all the time.
Now we are both miserable
And can’t even look at each other.
When was the moment
That love turned to hate?
And happiness to heartbreak?
We were once the model couple
With only nice things to say.
Now we are mortal enemies
With insults all the time.
When was the moment
That love turned to hate?
And delight to disgust?
We may never know
The exact moment when
Everything changed,
But we will always know the difference
Between now and then.
