Weeping Willows sway soundly

never perplexating the crisp air.

as the night grows darker,

more trees start to whisper at an audible sound.

But the swoosh of each weeping willow never disrupts a good night sleep.

Lawnmowers screech grooming the virginal grass,

bird’s flapping their wings to the pulse of a little boy’s heart,

Youthful breath flowing within the river.

Bedraggled moss covering the innoncent reflection.

lively little kids dancing with the insects,

drip drop leaks their popsicles as it hits the pavement

Weeping Willows will keep me grounded

And take me back to this memory forever.

"My role in society, or any artist's or poet's role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all."

This was good! Nice work!
