Reception
The ring leaves green
In it’s absence
Who would bury such
A diamond
Under the floorboards
Gathering dust, that gem
Scattering memories, that wrecked
Thing
Stay hidden
Hide beneath the house
A prison paid by him
With wooden window sills
Guarding the curtains
White with sun in their thread
Made with the gown
Her mother had chosen
Sown with prolonged sorrow
But it’ll turn to dust
Just like her
Take the pain
It lingers in this home
(Define home)
Shaking the bricks
He had placed for her
Before the man
(Define man)
Lifted the veil
To discover
Only the painted expression
Screaming behind the mask
Of utter
Delirium
