All Alone in a Crowded World
I stand, alone, but crowded.
 The world rushes by
 yelling,
 shouting,
 laughing,
 crying.
I listen, always listen, to what it says.
But what it says is sometimes
 hard to hear,
 hard to see,
 hard to feel,
 hard to understand.
Yet still I stand, alone, but crowded,
 watching the world rush by,
 listening to its incomprehensible words.
I am alone, but I am not the only one there.
