And I see the young,
The vibrant,
The energetic,
They arrive in hoards,
All young,
All vibrant,
All energetic,
And we are wary,
Wary of the change,
But there’s diamonds in the dirt,
And I see one that looks like something I’ve seen before,
A glassy diamond,
That seems more youthful,
More vibrant,
More energetic,
So I keep my eye out at sea,
And I wish them a safe voyage,
And I hope they look back sometimes,
Look forward sometimes,
So they see what I see.
