Their eyes tell silent stories.
Stories that would shock even the darkest of hearts.
These eyes have seen worse than some could even dream of.
They’ve seen killing and death, and pain and suffering to extents that can be hard to imagine.
Eyes that should be learning how to read are instead being taught how to fight.
Emotionless eyes are being forced to kill in gruesome ways.
Eyes that seem to have run out of tears, because crying never helped.
Their sobs are unheard, their tears are unseen.
Children who are innocent are being ruined by men who see no hope in their government.
Men who are willing to take advantage of an irreplaceable innocence.
The eyes are deep brown.
A brown so deep you could get lost in it.
Eyes that catch attention for their beauty.
They silently tell of innocence lost and of silent tears cried.
These are the eyes of a child soldier.

Good job with this. Reminds me of all the 12,000 plus child soliders that are forced to fight for a government that hates them in Burma (Union of Myanmar).

Do what you want to not what anyone else tells you to.

Really Good. Keep writing. I wish this wasn't true but it is and it is also very sad what some children have to go through

"Be who you wanna' be, barbie girl."

Although this is so very true, i wish it wasn't. I wish that it were all fake and no child had ever been put through this. Who would have ever imagined doing that to someone who is still underdeveloped? I hope one day we can soon help this situation become less common. You are one of the few who use your talents to grab attention of the current issues, be proud of this! Moreover, Beautifully crafted, i wish you nothing but happiness.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in my, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24.

Reminds me of A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah. So disgustingly honest and terrible. Truly hard to comprehend. I don't understand how there can be so many bad bad people.
