I lay

I lay here thinking
i lay here dying
i lay wondering if you could have helped
if you would have found me in time
i wish you could have seen me
before this hole was embedded into my brain
i cried for many nights
wishing for you to show up
hoping that one day you might actually care
but that is all the distant past
now my future lay in a deep dark hole in the ground
