You say you understand
How I feel.
But you don't.
You say you know
what it's like,
That you've been
where I have been.
But you haven't.
You say you'll be
right by my side,
Guard my heart
from the whole wide world.
But you won't.
You say that others
have walked my steps,
That they've been
in my shoes.
You say I'm not alone.
But I am.
