I still miss you
When I
Wake up in the morning
And know I will not see your cheerful smile

I still miss you
When I
Sit down at school
And you are not
By my side

I still miss you
When I
Fall to the ground
And you aren’t there to
Comfort me

I still miss you
When I
Know you’re talking to new friends
And I’m still only holding on to You

I still miss you
Every single day

This is a poem to my best friend whom I don't see often anymore as she has gone to a different school.

I tend to like reading older poems people have written. Whenever I look over my older ones, I start thinking why did I ever write that? But its good to have older poems as a reference to see how much you have changed and accomplished. :)

Ack. This is sooo embarrasing to read now (it's been about 2 years since I wrote it, and my writing style has changed tremendously since then.) but I'm glad you found something to like in it at least.

Sweet poem. I like how every stanza starts out with, "I still miss you/When I..." I can tell that the narrator is talking about someone they love and hoping to see them soon.
