Blissful Dsyphoria
Never a day will you fail to find me:an ethereal presence fogging the shore;
a tempest undeterred, flighting the seashells of cold reminiscence.
You see I once was the sun; bright, and bold
shining, glowing from the affection sprinkled upon me; yes, that is the true meaning of love:
something so bittersweet it can take your breath away, something...that you’ll never truly know.
Carry on as you like: but be warned--guilt corrodes the soul,
mercilessly incinerating each tender dimension;
until you find yourself weeping, a murky puddle of loss
flooding with ignorance,
pouring out with the doubt.
Helios forewarns you now.
Each episode of catastrophe taunts my heart, jeering and mocking as if I could never become untangled.
Somehow, the silky seaweed thread never unwinds;
just cuts and digs deep, wounding a perfectly good heart.
Heart’s perennial crimson has become a symbolic blood shade; a gruesome reminder, a demonic threat
backed by all too many avengers; perched and more than ready for the prowl, at a standstill until further announcement.
Because, as you may later find,
hypocrisy is never rewarded, and double standards meet double crossings-
intersecting only to backstab, stalking only to kill.
You never should have made me become something I wasn't:
the forced Athena admonishes all that you are.
Vicariously, you flaunt your soul through those of the rest,
-(I should know);
Until you’ve quenched your parched spirit with the benevolence and mercy you’ll never deserve to call your own.
What a foolish coward game to play.
