Alto Tone
A whisper, just a whisper,
It should be barely heard above the crowd,
A whisper, am I crazy?
Or was that whisper awfully loud?
I know that there are those who’d say,
Paranoia is to blame,
But I just know that little whisper,
Oh so gently spoke my name.
I recognize that voice,
That floating alto tone,
And even though we’re amongst a crowd,
It’s as if we are alone.
