The Barren Land of the Forgotten
Silence
 No chirping of birds
 Or whisper of winds
 For,
 There is nary a moon
 To secretly befriend
Because the dark hands that grip the sky
And tear the light away have begun to settle around you
But the air is not cold,
 So you do not shiver
And the air is not warm,
 Therefore you cannot sweat

Your body and being simply are
 But your spirit,
Your spirit shivers from the bitter nothingness
And sweats from the constant strain of raw emotion

Your heart has begun to collapse upon itself
To devour all joy, sanity, and long lost love
Thus you have become an affront
An insult and disgrace to all around you
You have been striped of you pride
Left out to fend for yourself
Then the world is broken into two categories
Those who turn a blind eye in spite
And those who’s eyes are distracted,
Fixated on images in the sky they’re just steps away from,
This place is desolate and cold
 You wither with the old,
Memories and thoughts of joy that haunt you
Oh, the deathly goodness of spirits of
Tenderness, and joy, and emotions tugging breeze
Until you shiver, and have taken,
 Your last breath
