Life Again
The warmth of spring pulses through the air,
Sweet and tangy on my tongue like a fresh orange picked from the highest branch on a tree,
Exploding in my mind and eating away the cold of winter.
Small buds stretch out their arms,
Yawning and rubbing the sleep from their brightly colored eyes.
The white of snow traded for puffy white clouds floating lightly on the sea of blue.
Crisp green grass sliding back its snowy blanket and reveling in the golden rays that lick across it.
And finally,
I can stop to smell the flowers.
