You don't see the girl I really am.

All you see is my mask.

You have never read the words I write.

You only like the girl the mask is.

That girl is me.

Why won't you take off my mask for me.

I am the one who likes you.

Not the girl who is the mask.

I won't lie, the mask metaphor is a little cliched. Other than that, I do like this one.

Wow. Just- just amazing. I really like it. And so true, you know? Lovely. I mean, some people just don't care enough to remove our masks. And you really have someone specail when they go deep enough to try. if they don't- they don't care enough.
