Stained Glass Windows
How beautiful the colors are
Swirls of brown and green
Blue and gray and black
How soulful the person within
The colors; the stained glass windows
The windows are sometimes murky
And all that can be seen are blurry shapes of feelings
But sometimes the windows are clear
And we can see right past the color
To what holds together the walls
That holds the windows up
From time to time, it rains
The little drops of water
Running tracks down the murky windows
Hide the clear windows in a cave
Behind the beautiful waterfall
When I see this, I want to pull curtains over my windows
To protect myself from what I would see;
I would see unearthly detection
The devil within
The person within
