A warm fresh French roll
The sharp kitchen knife effortlessly cuts off a slice
A stick of butter to be sliced
The knife cuts through it like air
The chef is proud of his knife
But he never sharpens or takes care of it
The knife cuts and cuts for years
One day, ‘tis dull and can no longer slice
