I get back on the computer screen
Out comes a picture of the past
Clad in a beanie, jeans, and a smile
While the music starts beating,
My heart starts sinking,
Learning that he wants to
Get back into my life
What for?
I can walk down the street,
When the saxophone starts to play,
When the drums begin beating,
When the music starts playing faster.
I can dance how I please
When I hear jazz.
I run around when I hear
That rapid sound of both
The drum and saxophone together.
But when I see his face,
The music ends.
The only sounds I hear when he comes
Are those of a depressing, but rapid violin
And an unhappy flute.
The scene becomes dramatic
And climactic
As I try to make a decision
On whether I should welcome him back
With open arms or not.
The violins play faster
And then they play slower
But they soon replay that climactic noise
As I remember what he did—
Lied about those girls,
Told me he wanted me, kicked me out of his life
That wretched violin won’t let me forget
What he did to me
And neither will the rest of the orchestra
After the orchestra plays its dramatic piece,
I decide to continue to hear
My jazz music.
The orchestra finally decides to die out
And I shut down my computer.

This is a very beautiful piece, I love all of the mental images and sounds it brought me. Good job, I look forward to your future work.
