Veteran
Do you see the pain behind his eyes,
It holds his ultimate demise.
No matter where he goes,
The river of tears always flows.
He fought for town and country,
Even to see his little boy.
He's gone through all that strife,
Just to see the loving eyes of his wife.
He fought to protect our freedom,
To keep us from ultimate bedlam.
He is a homeless veteran on the fly,
But yet we never thank him as we pass him by.
