"I will work harder" (animal farm boxer the horse)

First encounter, unforgettable
Your kindness paved the way for your pupils.
A connection so real.
We can all feel this close friendship between student and teacher.
Dedicated to your craft, you made us fall for the art.
This art of Courage, Strength, and Ambition.
You were not just a fighter.
You were a father,
A friend.
Our candle that led us through the dark.
You had a heart of an ox but it was warm like a furnace.
Through the wise words that we now keep as virtues
Made us into who we are now
And look at how far we've gotten
Together...
Now it's hard to believe you're not here with us
We now lead our own path
But your legacy is still here.
With us.
Your memory
With us.
Your name lives on in the hearts of the warriors you've made.
You were a man of vision and compassion.
Forever we will remember you.
Our passion of this art will stay true.
Rest in peace Sifu.

This poem is dedicated to the late Master Tony Horton, my martial arts instructor, who passed away months ago.
