Concrete
The cracks on the sidewalk keep me sane,
They show me that even concrete can break,
that even the strongest of all has a weakness.
I love the feeling of broken underneath my foot.
Lonely shards of glass,
Grains of cement,
Pieces of plastic,
Reminds me that everything is flawed.
Sustainability has simply become figment,
Resilience, an everyday anchor in a sea of insurmountable storms.
No two days are the same,
Each sunrise, a new crack to a new block of concrete
Each sunset, a flaw in our universe.
There are mistakes in every existence.
Refreshing isn’t it?
