Withered Love
A pool of crimson blossomed from her chest,
The wound carved too deep.
Her glassy eyes held no warmth
Or emotion whatsoever.
Blood red lips painted her face
That which had no color.
No breath to keep her alive
To make her feel forever.
Frozen in a silent scream,
And arms outstretched in fear.
Shot down without a second glance
And forgotten by her lover.
