Favorite Quote:
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

A million balloons askew in the breeze
An unwavering sun and dirt on my knees
Fresh dew on the grass under dim orange light
And sleigh bells and snowflakes and cheers of delight
Wood fires that rage while the world is asleep
Diving in pools and sinking so deep
Movies and pizza when rain ends the drought
Running and dancing and letting it out
Singing our favorite songs to acoustic guitar
Stretching out on the ground and finding your star
Watching the leaves as they drift to the ground
Pumpkins and doughnuts and drinks all around
Hearing the first robin singing its song
Seeing faces that you haven’t seen in so long
Finding that thing that you lost last year
Knowing the one that you love is near
Drowning out problems with “Come on Eileen”
T-shirts and sneakers and comfy blue jeans
Beautiful moments we can’t replicate
Of laughing and cooking and learning to skate
Buttoning buttons and brushing your hair
A million presents to handle with care

This is a poem about things that make me happy, and some parts are just things that I remember or things that make me feel alive. It's simple but I think it says a lot about finding the little pieces of your life that you love and embracing them.
