Friend or Foe?
Friend or foe?
I don't know.
We can't stay together,
This nonsense can't go on forever.
Sticking by you for convenience.
Or striving for your acceptance.
I say to myself, "I want out!"
I think its time to listen to my feelings of doubt.
My ego starts to shrink,
When you speak before you think.
Belittled by you,
Your apologies are overdue.
Should there be a confrontation?
Maybe I'll wait to avoid a complication.
I want to call your bluff,
Because I have had enough.
To you I'll always be second best,
While my true feelings remain repressed.
You're constantly critical
Always there to offend,
You are just the typical
Toxic friend.
