Finding Rex
I’ve seen this boy named Rex,
He’s handsome, tall, and made of bones.
He’s daring, caring, always there,
And not one flaw he owns.
I met this boy named Rex,
He introduced himself to me.
It seems that he’s a real nice guy,
And he says he’s got “the key”
I know this boy named Rex,
He gets better every day.
Told me if I listen well,
My problems will fade away.
I’m friends with this boy named Rex,
And he helps me feel alright.
He’s always there when I need him,
And we never, ever fight.
My best friend’s this boy named Rex.
He keeps me in control.
My other friends show me my bones,
But he shows me my rolls.
Sometimes I only hear Rex,
But he’s so smart and tells the truth.
He’s making me so tiny,
But he’s robbing me of youth.
I’m starting to fear Rex,
But he won’t leave me alone.
Every time I feel okay,
He show’s me I’ve grown.
I hate that boy named Rex,
He makes me feel like s***.
But sometimes I think
I deserve all of it.
My worst enemy is Rex,
But his company is priceless.
I am slowly starting to realize,
That he’s leaving me lifeless.
My captor is old Rex,
And he shows me how to live.
He might seem forceful,
But all I have I’ll give.
I’ve been killed by Rex,
And he’ll do the same to you.
If you ever meet him,
Be afraid of what he’ll do.
This poem’s about Rex,
His sister, Ana, too.
Because if you let them in,
They’ll take your life from you.
