The darkness overcame me
Sending me deeper under
But I didn't care
The quiet was gentle
Greeting me happily
Making my thoughts seem loud
But I didn't care
My eyelids closed
I lost the war to my tiredness
But I didn't care
Slowly
Very slowly
I was dragged into slumber
But I didn't care
The world was at a pause
As I took a break
To feed my dreams of hunger
