Looking in the eyes of hope once again,
Understanding the soul isn’t always true,
Perfection; the word I no longer thrive to achieve,
Broken; the word of the past,
The faded word that I faintly see, in me,
Curves returning, and the mask receding,
Becoming happy and healthy once again,
Happiness, the word that is shining through the cracks,
Gleaming on my scarred skin,
The word that describes my future,
Moving on and becoming independent,
No longer haunted by memories.
