Behind a Mirror

I glared at my reflection.
Staring back was a simple girl,
No makeup and no emotions.
I read the words on my mirror.
"Don't let this world change your smile, let your smile change this world."
How could my smile change this world full of problems.
I brushed on my powdered foundation.
This is what is wrong with the world.
There is too much fake.
People let the world know who they want to be.
Not who they are.
I grabbed my makeup remover and wiped it off.
My mind was made.
To change the world I was going to be real.
My smile was going to be natural. No eyeliner, no mascara, no lipstick.
And the world was going to change with my smile.
Enough of letting the world change my smile.
