The Void
the feeling of needing
someone or something
else
is looking in the mirror
and seeing a hole
gaping, clean
where the bullet went through.
there’s nothing there
not even a bullet
to leave you a hint
as to what you’re missing.
going through the motions is
shoveling snow, raking leaves
slow, steady, void of anything but
rhythm.
searching for it, them, him, her
is hopeless at this point, don’t you think
what do you do when
you don’t know
what it is that you’re missing

"I have a daughter who reminds me too much of what i used to be, full of love and joy, kissing every person she met because everyone is good and will do her no harm. And that terrifies me to the point where i can barely function." -Kurt Cobain
