Winter
Winter is fast approaching as you can see,
Frost covers the grass and the trees.
The sky transforms to a dim shade of gray,
I anticipate it to be wonderful day.

A mass of snowflakes begin to swarm around,
They gently descend onto the ground.
It is such a beautiful sight,
All to be seen is a blanket of white.

Snow rests on the ground, icicles cling to the trees,
The temperature has gone below zero degrees.
A subtle gust of wind sends a chill down the spine,
This indicates now it’s winter time.

I decide to venture out into the snow,
But only after dressing warm before I go.
As I step outside, I am greeted by a chilly breeze,
I do the same by letting out a very loud sneeze.

The chilly wind brushes past my head,
I feel my cheeks turn a scarlet red.
I go into the garage and take out my sled,
I see a day full of fun right ahead.

I played the whole day, until I was tired,
And then went indoors to sit by the fire.
The day had gone by with full speed,
I sat down on the cozy couch with a book to read.
Although it was dark, gloomy, and gray,
It was truly one ideal winter day.
