"Would she hear me if I called her name? Would she hold me if she knew my shame? Would she even love me if I was to blame?" -Favourite poem ever♥

This is just another year without you
Another year where you're not here
Another day that passes by
The sun still shines
And the moon still glows
But you're not here again
I know I don't really think of you like I should
I know I forget because I don't want to relive pain.
Your spirit was broken
As mine is now
Your heart was purer than gold.
I don't really remember the ins
And the outs
Nor much of what you told.
I remember the long days
And the cool summer nights
The way your laugh filled the room.
I remember the hatred
And the yelling and fights
I remember losing you so soon...
I don't really know
What caused you to drink
Or why mama hated you so...
I know there was abuse
And you were on the brink
Of losing all you had
All you worked for throughout all your years
I remember the television
And turning the antenna
To make sure The Simpsons came in clear
I remember the fact that we watched Yu-Gi-Oh
And we had a dance off over summer each year.
I remember the little things
Like when the yard caught on fire
And when we built the back porch.
I remember when you called me a liar;
And how I was called the child of a w****.
And though there is pain
From the great Golden Dragon
Pain I have nursed over the years
And though there is depression
And a love for Dungeons and Dragons,
I want to thank you for all of my tears.
I know I forget
And I know I'm ungrateful
And I'm fairly sure you do too.
But I hope that as you watch me
From Heaven above,
Daddy, I hope you remember I love you.

This is beautiful! I can feel the pain, yet the love in this!
