The Times We've Talked.
That day we first talked,
You knew my heart knocked.
You never really showed it,
But you knew you filled my pit.
That sparkle in your eye,
It truly didn't lie.
You saw right though me,
Knowing what we could be.
The next time we talked,
My heart came unlocked.
That thing you thought you saw,
Was now in the books as a written law.
I loved you,
That you knew.
And you left me,
I thought we could never be.
The last time we talked,
We honestly never stopped.
We had our rough spots,
We really had lots.
But I loved you,
And now you loved me.
And at the end of the day,
That's all either of us ever see.
