People tell me I have his nose
Because it’s strong and hooked
With a powerful bump at the top
But I hope that’s all he gave me
An ugly nose is enough
And better than an ugly mind that
Sinks its teeth into anything it can
Like the hearts of girls who have
Not yet learned to love the real way
I hope I do not have his hands
Calloused from the cold metal of a gun
And stained with a twisted love
Love I hope I do not have
Because love is not a fist or a knife
Love is not an apology
I hope I do not have his back
Because he never had mine
And I hope a nose does not give me
A guiltless conscience and a
Forgetful brain.

the electricity races, words fall askew, yet delicately intertwined are the fingers, I, and you.

Wonderful job! The ending could have been stronger to accompany the power you established in the beginning and middle of your work.

This poem really had its lines where there was a double meaning and that is a great thing. I really enjoyed how the poem had moments of comparison.

This too shall pass.

Amazing, this is really deep as everyone else has said. For me my favorite line was; "I hope I do not have his hands calloused from the cold metal of a gun and stained with a twisted love." Beautiful and very descriptive.

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels.
The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes -
the ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo.
They push the human race forward.

I like to try and find some constructive feedback and stand out from the croud of total admirers, but I cannot find fault with this work of art.
