Sweetie, if you're going to be two faced, at least make one of them pretty. - Marilyn Monroe

As colorful leaves
Turn
To falling white snow
My heart
Continues to ache
For your beautiful love
Your beautiful words you say
That only a few of us have ever heard
Do you miss me?
Like I miss you?
Because, oh it hurts
When I see you alone
And know I’m the same
Oh it hurts
When I saw with her
And knew it could’ve been me
Did you mean what you said?
Did you mean to break me?
Shatter me
Break me
I am history
But as the snow melts,
And green grass comes into view
Will I be with you?
Or will my heart ache?
Will it hurt?
When the seasons change?
They change
And so do we
From kind to cruel,
From soft to hard,
And everything in between
I dreamed that I would be with you
On a plane, at 3 a.m.
Falling asleep on your shoulder
As we traveled to D.C.
Too bad you won’t be on that plane
Too bad we aren't speaking
Will it hurt?
When everything changes again
Will it hurt me?

The author's comments:
I always knew I was dealing with heartache, but then the cold came and the days grew darker and longer and... I realize it hurts the most when beautiful things happen and I'm not with a certain person. I still care, even if you're not there anymore.

I actually have a rather large vocabulary. My mom is an English teacher. I just don't choose to use the words because I don't enjoy using large words that some people wouldn't understand. 'Prior' and 'supercalifragilistic' aren't exactly poetic.

Yeah. Someone did a total flip flop on me... Begining of fall totally "in love" with me, nearing winter, with some girl whos flightly and doesn't exactly stay faithful...

"Be the change you wish to see in the world."

I think that this poem did a great job combining your pain and heartbreak to the changing of the seasons. The metophor worked throughout the entire poem. I would just suggest using a more complex vocabulary. You use a lot of the same words in all of your poems. Try to expand your vocabulary.

"Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."

The thing that first struck me whas the imagery, "As colorful leaves turn to faling white snow." I really like free verse poems, and can relate to this, and especially the line "will it hurt when everything changes? will ir hurt me?"
