For Now
You have been there, for years
 I can't complain
And yet I know the end is coming

 Estimates have been made
 And tears have rushed before

I just never realized how soon it could be

 You are slower, I'll admit
But I always like to look at you as youthful

Your happy smile and sweet demeanor
 Make me think it's impossible

But I look at you now,
And compare from a year ago

 You have definitely declined

I should stop these morbid thoughts
And be glad you're here now
 I know I can't always say that

 So, I'm glad you're here
That your stomach still exists for me to bury my face in

 I love you
 I always will
But you are only here for now
