A Memorable Utterance
Crack! The sound he made when he hit the cushion of the bed.
Unconscious, what seemed like forever, awakening to the sight
of a hospital and taken by a woman on her shoulders to another
room, as his eyes slowly closed from top to bottom.
Conscious once again, he opens his eyes to see a
woman in tears grasped by a man. Their eyes widen as they see
his, then approach in such speed. Grasping like a bear, the woman
sobbing as the man pulls her away. Another woman came through the
door and put the boy to rest. Waking up, the boy realized that
he was back home with a cast around his neck, then realized
something, why did he do this? Was he angry at something, was
he angry at someone? Was he angry........ at himself?
The only thing he knows is that those people, his parents, were
there. At four in the morning his parents were there, not strangers,
not his friends, but his mom and his dad. Days flying, months passing,
and years breezing, his mom walks towards him and tells him
that when she heard the news at work she ran to her car immediately
and drove home as fast as she could and froze when she walked through
the door as she saw her son lying in his dads arms. The boy at the age
at the age of 12 said to his mom “ I wont forget, thanks mom.”
