Not in Love
He looked at me with shining blue eyes and masculine beauty
I'm not in love
He talked to me sweetly with request of loyal friendship to me
I'm not in love
He loved for me, cared for me, saved my life, and called out for me
I'm not in love
As we grew older, he said I was the object of his world and the most beautiful of all
I'm not in love
As we stood the moonlit night, he held me gently, tightly, laying his angelic hair against mine
I'm not in love
I then turned my brown eyes to see him in his male benevolence
And said to him, ever so quietly,
“I am in love”
