maybe i know that you'll crave my secure arms someday, but i'll have come across someone who wasn't afraid. and that's why i can't let go.

I removed the layers of blankets from my aching bones
to excavate the secrets that were held together by saliva
in papier-mâché envelopes, only to chew on disappointments
and lie on shards of fragile stained glass that tampered with my flaws,
instead of putting me back together with multicolored duct tape
so gray was only found inside of my body.

I wrung the tears from your sweatshirt and decided it was time
to give it back to you, in exchange for my serpent heart

[barely beating,

barely breathing];
instead of curling inside your stomach and making you
nearly as ill as I had become, just by drinking venomous nectar
and digesting fireflies so a small portion of me would feel alive,
I climbed over your picket fence and let you recline my eyes
in another awkward position to the point where I only chain-smoked
the main exhibits of your aesthetic proportions and declined
every deficiency of the person you truly are,

i. blunt

Love Always. :)
When the tides of life turn against you and the current upsets your boat, don't waste time and tears on what might have been, just lie on your back and float.

Very good writting, I loved it! You're really talented, the only thing I would consider changing is the title because it's so long. But it's still okay as is. Check out some of my stuff? Thanks! 5 stars!

You seem to overthink poetry and take it too literally.

WOW. There are not enough words for how beautiful this poem is. I love it.

Yes, this poem reminds me of the time I spent in the cloud forests of Thailand searching out the reclusive yellow-freckled jackalope. Your use of the word 'curling' is evocative of the winter game, I assume, and is appropriate for the innate irony and inanity of the piece, considering that it the temperature remains an agreeable 30 degrees across South East Asia whilst Britain crystallizes over. Indoubitably.

There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the drama, & surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard; you forget about all the bad & focus soley on the good. After all, life's too short to be anything but happy (:

this is amazing (: you are so talented.

Really great! You can definitely feel the emotions as you write them. Sometimes words are better than pictures, and that proclaims it true. A real piece of art.
