No One
Sometimes I am someone
But mostly I am no one
That quiet girl in the background
The one no one knows exists

 And when I speak
 My voice is hoarse
 From not talking

 Sometimes
 Days go by
And I do not utter a word
And when I do nobody listens
Even when I have something important to say

 You discourage me
To break out of my shell
 And now I will not
Be the person I was meant to be

 I have been left behind
 By friends
 By family
 By everything
 I am someone
 Yet I am no one

 I do not matter
 In your world
And now I have no one
 In mine
