like I was a rose in a field of dandelions.

I remember the way you talked to me,

like I was the only thing in the world that mattered.

I remember the way you held me,

like you were trying to put all my pieces together again.

I remember the way you said you loved me,

like you meant it.

I remember when you left me,

like water rushing down a drain.
