Holiday Joy

Snowflakes on the window pane,
Fire with a bright red flame.
Present’s on the bare wood floor,
Drinking hot cocoa till there is no more.
The house is quite,
Except for one thing,
The lights twinkling upon the Christmas tree.
The tinsel is strung,
The sound of drums have begun.
The kids are jumping around,
and shaking the ground.
They want everyone up,
So they can open their stuff,
that lays upon the the low surface.
