Ballerina in the Crowd
Smiling children eagerly pointed
With their eyes fixed on the elegant, youthful goddess.
Her voice was like the sound of a lyre,
Luring weary children to a long night's sleep.
Her body was God's masterpiece,
Petite, but firm like a palm tree surviving through a storm.
Men flung their caps toward
Her swaying body in the crowd.
Wisps of hair flew in her mouth.
Unbothered, she arched her body in various angles.
Her sweet, naive aura
Attracted the attention of men and women alike
Yet, her fake smile whispered to me
That she did not belong.
