My hands shake
My thoughts rush
yet still the words flow.
They gush out
of my fearful lips
They stand tall
as my legs fall small

Its like a crashing wave
that comes out of a calm sea
Now, I may have
a glimpse of awe
and It’s glorified shock.

The waves now subside
the limbs still quake
And I look to see
with fear filled thoughts
the mess made.

I was trying to write about the emotions of those experiences where we have to speak, but we are to afraid to. In my experience these were very un-eloquent and filled with anxiety, both during and after the experience. I hope this adequately sheds light on the poem and thanks for reading and commenting.

Can you shed some light on this poem? I only ask because it baffled me, not in a bad way (when I'm baffled by a poem, it's a good thing. Easy to figure out poems are meh.) One thing though: I think you got confused with your "It's" and "its" in the second stanza. Other than that: nicely done.
