Water and The Storm
The water was new,
Still.
Pure.
With nothing to abuse her.
Nothing to harm her.
Peace.
Then The Storm came.
True, there were Ripples before
that made the Water crash
in ways she didn't before.
But these small splashes
could not compare
to The Storm
that lie ahead.
What made The Storm so powerful?
Maybe it was the way he appeared.
So calm.
So benevolent.
So kind.
Or maybe it was the way he left.
With no warning,
No sign.
Or maybe it was the way
he continued to send her waves
Even after he left.
Just to remind her
that he was gone.
But no.
It was not the way he came,
or left.
Or anything in between.
It was the way
he made her feel.
When The Storm was there,
She felt
Full,
Powerful.
But when he left.
She felt
Nothing.
But everything all at once.
Water and The Storm.
She and He.
