Real World
The sun disappears
over the dark horizon,
The moon creeps out
but hides behind unseen shadows.
The mute wind
starts to howl,
The dead leaves
start to rustle.
The faceless trees
start to whisper,
The bodyless creatures
start to scurry.
Creatures that haunt
your nightmears,
Become real
and hunt you now.
What you read in fantasies
is more then just fiction,
But you never see them
'cuz they wait till you sleep.
The beautiful cover
slowly fades away.
As the real world
comes to life.

I wrote this while I was up in a tree watching the sun go down.
